Mosquito spraying
The City sprays two times a week for mosquitoes. Tuesday evening in the south half of town and Thursday evening in the north half. Riverside Park is sprayed both evenings. · The spraying mechanism is calibrated and adjusted by a representative from Van Diest Supply, the company that sells the Mosquitomist product. The product’s dispersion depends on the speed of the vehicle in order to maintain a consistent mist. The City vehicle travels at 10 mph generally, but if it stops moving the mist will not spray. This mist is not a “fog” but is clear and practically odorless. · City staff is trained in the use of all of the products, their handling, and application. They follow strict guidelines on the use of all products. · The City will begin spraying May 21st.
Regular meeting, May 27, at 6 PM at the New Community Building, Riverside Park. The tentative agenda link below will be underlined when activated.
