Iola Public Library
The Iola Public Library is governed by a Board appointed by the Mayor and City Commission. The Board is responsible for setting policy, and the Library Director carries out the policy, tends to the day-to-day operation of the Library, and creates recommendations for the Board to consider.

Homebound Service
  • Book selection, delivery, and pick up for homebound individuals
SEKLS
  • Because Iola Public Library also houses the Southeast Kansas Library System (SEKLS), the number of holdings available to the public is substantially increased.
Genealogy
  • The Library's genealogy collection draws many users and visitors from other cities and states.

Monday-Thursday 9:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Summers


(Memorial Day to Labor Day) the library closes
at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
