  1. Pickleball Club

    June 18, 2019, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Meadowbrook Park

    Year around. During the spring & summer months, the club meets on week nights, 5:30 pm, at the Meadowbrook Tennis Courts, N. Cottonwood St., Iola. They meet when the outside temperature is over 55, courts aren't wet and the wind is tolerable. Ages 15 and older may participate. Pickleball is a combination of Ping-Pong, tennis and badminton and has been enjoyed since 1965 by people of all ages. This mini-tennis game is played by 2 or 4 people on a badminton sized court using wood paddle racquets and a plastic, poly baseball with holes.     June 20, 2019, 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ Iola Municipal Pool

    Opens on Monday, June 3rd at 1:00 PM. Adult swim hours will begin on June 3rd as well. Season Passes available through June 14, not sold at the pool. Discount Admission Tickets available through August 2, not sold at the pool. Anyone who enters the pool facility must pay the appropriate admission fee, even if they aren’t planning on swimming in the pool. Cash only, no checks or credit cards will be accepted for an admission fee. Pool Closing Policy: the Iola Pool will not open due to inclement weather or if the outside temperature is below 70 degrees. If the pool has opened and the temperature drops below 70 degrees, the pool will close.

  4. Swim Lesson Registration

    On Thursday, June 6th, register in person at the Municipal Courtroom located inside City Hall, 2 W. Jackson St. After June 6th, please register at the City Utilities Office, 2 W. Jackson St. during regular business hours. Limited space is available, no registrations will be taken by mail, phone, e-mail or fax. Students may only register for two weeks of lessons; only one week of private lessons. Parents must remain outside the fenced in area during lesson times. *All lessons and times are limited to the number of instructors available and will be filled on a first come first serve basis. *Lessons will be held unless it is lightning outside at the time of lessons.
