Boot camp will consist of a combination of weights, cardio and resistance loops. Mondays and Wednesdays will focus on upper body areas, and Tuesdays and Thursdays will focus on lower body areas. Suggested gear: light weights (5 lbs. or less), water bottle and towel. This Morning Class will be instructed by Megan Cole. Monday-Thursday mornings from 5:30-6:00 AM. All classes will be held at the Recreation Building, 500 Park Ave., Riverside Park. 18 years of age and older may participate. Open Walking Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, this time of year there are many indoor activities going on and the hours of availability vary each day, at the Recreation Building. For safety reasons, when there are events going on in the gym, walkers are encouraged to walk in the Little Theater. Enjoy climate-controlled walking at your own pace. Closed holidays and special events.
Senior-cise Class Monday-Friday mornings, 9:00 am-10:00 am, at the Recreation Building, excluding holidays and special events. Low-impact aerobics class incorporating yoga, cardio, balance and strength training.
Low impact group fitness class, using a combination of traditional yoga poses, mobility exercises, core training and breath work. By the end of the session, participants should notice an improvement in mobility and core strength. Students will need a yoga mat for the class, 2 yoga blocks, yoga strap, water and towel are suggested.
Sarah Noah will be instructing these classes on Monday and Thursday afternoons from 12:00-1:00 pm.

Spring Soccer is open to all boys and girls 4 years of age on or by April 1, 2023 through 8th grade. Practice days and times will be scheduled by the team coaches. 4 years old-5th Grade Divisions will play games on Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings at the Davis Athletic Fields, in an Iola league only. 6th-8th Grade will play games on Saturday mornings in Chanute, in a league with Chanute, Humboldt, Labette County, and Independence. Games are tentatively scheduled to begin March 28. Players must provide their own shin guards.

Register a team at the Recreation Office by February 24. All players must be 18 years of age and older. There needs to be an equal number of women and men or more women on the court at all times. Games are Sunday evenings, beginning March 5, at the Recreation Building Gym.
