    Musicians and music lovers of all ages are invited to join in the fun and fellowship. Guests are welcome to just listen or perform. Different styles of music may be played by a group of regular performers. Anything from gospel, swing, bluegrass or country and western.

  2. Pickleball Club

    May 21, 2019, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Meadowbrook Park

    Year around. During the spring & summer months, the club meets on week nights, 5:30 pm, at the Meadowbrook Tennis Courts, N. Cottonwood St., Iola. They meet when the outside temperature is over 55, courts aren't wet and the wind is tolerable. Ages 15 and older may participate. Pickleball is a combination of Ping-Pong, tennis and badminton and has been enjoyed since 1965 by people of all ages. This mini-tennis game is played by 2 or 4 people on a badminton sized court using wood paddle racquets and a plastic, poly baseball with holes.   3. Swim Team Registration Deadline

    The lola Swim Team is organizing for the 2019 season, this is a competitive swimming sport with traveling and competing with other swim teams, not swim lessons. To be eligible to be a member of the swim team, the swimmer must be 5 through 18 years of age by June 1, 2019 and be able to demonstrate the ability to swim independently and know the basic strokes. lola Swim Team will participate in the Southeast Kansas (SEK) League. Swimmers who participate in a minimum of two meets and achieve a qualifying time in chosen events will be eligible to participate in the SEK League Championship meet. We ask that parents sign-up to help out at three swim meets throughout the season. We ask that parents stay outside the fenced in area during practices. There are 2 away meets & 3 home meets; and league meet will be all day for all age groups.

    Opens on Memorial Day, May 27th at 1:00 PM. Season Passes available through June 14, not sold at the pool. Discount Admission Tickets available through August 2, not sold at the pool. Anyone who enters the pool facility must pay the appropriate admission fee, even if they aren’t planning on swimming in the pool. Cash only, no checks or credit cards will be accepted for an admission fee. Pool Closing Policy: the Iola Pool will not open due to inclement weather or if the outside temperature is below 70 degrees. If the pool has opened and the temperature drops below 70 degrees, the pool will close.
