  1. Transform Live Morning Step Class Begins

    October 15, 2019, 6:00 AM - 6:30 AM @ Recreation Building - Little Theater

    Transform LIVE delivers a unique workout utilizing a step with a combination of cardio and bodyweight strength-training moves. The class is music-driven and the moves are predesigned to follow the beat; but participants are encouraged to go at their own pace so every person leaves the class feeling a sense of accomplishment. Suggested gear: water bottle and towel. Steps will be provided. Evening Class will be instructed by Megan Cole. Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00-6:30 PM. Class Dates: October 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 & 31. Morning Class will be instructed by Sarah Noah. Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6:00-6:30 AM. Class Dates: October 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 & 31, November 5 & 7. All classes will be held at the Recreation Building, 500 Park Ave., Riverside Park. $30.00 class fee. Give it a try and join us for one class for just $5.00! 18 years of age and older may participate. Register at the Recreation Office by October 8th. For more information call 620-365-4990.

  2. Pickleball Club

    October 15, 2019, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Meadowbrook Park

    Year around. During the spring & summer months, the club meets on week nights, 5:30 pm, at the Meadowbrook Tennis Courts, N. Cottonwood St., Iola. They meet when the outside temperature is over 55, courts aren't wet and the wind is tolerable. Ages 15 and older may participate. Pickleball is a combination of Ping-Pong, tennis and badminton and has been enjoyed since 1965 by people of all ages. This mini-tennis game is played by 2 or 4 people on a badminton sized court using wood paddle racquets and a plastic, poly baseball with holes.
