  1. Iola Municipal Pool

    July 14, 2021, All Day @ Iola Municipal Pool

    The pool will open on May 31 at 1:00 PM. Adult swim hours will begin on June 1. Daily Door Admission: Ages 5 & Under, Free, must be accompanied by an adult. Ages 65 & Older, Free. Open Swim, Ages 6-64, $2.00. Night Swim, Ages 6-64, $1.00. Pool Hours: Adult Swim – Mon.-Fri. 12:00-1:00 PM; Mon.-Thur. 5:30-6:30 PM. Open Swim – Sun. 1:00-6:00 PM; Mon.-Thur. 1:00-5:30 PM; Fri. & Sat. 1:00-7:00 PM. Night Swim – Mon.-Thur. 6:30-8:00 PM. Anyone who enters the pool facility must pay the appropriate admission fee, even if they aren’t planning on swimming in the pool. Cash only, no checks or credit cards will be accepted. Pool Closing Policy: the Iola Pool will not open due to inclement weather or if the outside temperature is below 70 degrees. If the pool has opened and the temperature drops below 70 degrees, the pool will close. Pool parties may be scheduled for Friday or Saturday evening, from 7:00-9:00 PM. The cost is $200.00 and must be scheduled through the Recreation Office.

  2. R.I.P.P.E.D. Fitness Class

    July 14, 2021, 6:00 AM - 6:35 AM @ Recreation Building - Gym

    This total body, high-intensity program utilizes free weights, resistance bands, and body weight to strengthen your core and other major muscles. R.I.P.P.E.D. ™ combines the individual components that give the program its name: Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance and Diet. This program stimulates different energy systems and muscles in each workout segment. No matter your ability, this class is for individuals of all fitness levels. Suggested gear: light weights (5 lbs. or less), water bottle and towel. The class will be instructed by Megan Cole. Monday & Wednesday mornings from 6:00-6:35 AM. $40 class fee. Give it a try! One class just $5.00! All classes will be held at the Recreation Building. 18 years of age and older may participate. Register at the Recreation Office prior to the first class, or with Megan the first day of class.

  3. The Neosho Way Basketball Camp

    July 14, 2021, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Recreation Building - Gym

    This camp is designed to introduce youth basketball players to the game of basketball. The camps primary focus will be fundamentals and basic concepts of team play. Participants will learn proper footwork for both offense and defense, ball handling, passing and shooting form. Campers will have an opportunity to practice their skills while competing in games and contests. July 14 at the Recreation Building Gymnasium. Boys and girls going into grades 1st-12th may participate. Camp cost is $10.00. 1st-3rd grade will meet from 9:00-10:00 am; 4th-6th grade will meet from 10:30 am-12:00 pm; and 7th-12th grade will meet from 1:00-3:00 pm. Register at the Recreation Office by Tuesday, July 13. Attendees should wear active clothing such as t-shirts, shorts, etc. (no jeans) & basketball shoes (no black-soled shoes). The Neosho County Community College Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff and Players will provide instruction. For more information call (620) 365-4990.
